Story #1:
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar expecting their 20th child
If you aren't familiar with this famous over-reproductive family, here's the back story on them. Their show aired on TLC back in 2008, originally titled "17 Kids and Counting." Obviously over the years, the name has changed twice to accommodate their growing family. Michelle at 45 and Jim Bob at 46 are also grandparent's to a two year old and a 4 month old.
Reality Check:
REALLY?!? 20 KIDS?!? These people need to figure out what's causing this problem. If you think about it, some of these kids are younger than their neices and nephews. Economic times are bad enough...at what time did it sound like a good idea to produce MORE children and place more of a financial strain? Then again, they are getting paid $250,000 - $400,000 per episode (per E!'s website.) Wait a minute....maybe they're on to something.....
Nope. I couldn't do it. Her poor body can't possibly take anymore. She has said before on the show she's been pregnant for the majority of her life now. She's had 4 C-sections with the last one being an emergency. She suffered from pre-eclampsia and the baby was delivered 3 months premature. That alone would have made me stop. Out of the 19 children thus far, that was the only complicated delivery. All children are mentally sound and physically fine. Too bad not all families could be this lucky. Just sayin...
It just seems like a shame to me that they can have 20 children with no problem (although she did suffer from a miscarriage prior to her eldest being born), but there are 6.1 million women in the U.S (as of 2009) with issues getting pregnant and/or staying pregnant. In a way it feels as though their show is rubbing it in the millions of women's faces who can't have children.
Story #2:
Justin Bieber's Baby Allegations
Just for the record...I am NOT a Justin Bieber fan. I thought for the longest time my younger siblings were saying "Beaver". I honestly cannot name one song this kid has done. All I know, is he has taken the hearts of young girls worldwide and apparently has his own nail polish brand. The pop sensation has been accused of having sexual relations with a fan backstage of one of his concerts. Now that the child is 3 months old, the 20 year old mother is stating he needs to take respoonsibility and pay up. Justin is adament he has never met this woman and according to his twitter "this is b.s.". He has agreed to take a paternity test to proove he is not the father. Do I smell a celeb Maury episode in the making?!? He also tweeted "SANTA CLAUSE IS COMIN TO TOWN B*TCHES." (Way to be mature there Bieber).
Reality Check:
The fact is...he's 17, famous and loaded, and to a lot of girls...not bad to look at. More than likely, the kid is getting some. Girls are snakes. They're gunna use this to their advantage and try to get money out of him. It was bound to happen sooner or later. I give him credit for saying he'll take the paternity test. If the Bieber Baby is his, his career is shot. Girls love to swoon over him and as a pre-teen - teen, you're not likely to swoon over a teen daddy. Time will tell if his "Favorite Girl" will become "One Less Lonely Girl." (Yes...I had to google his song titles to come up with that.)
Story # 3:
Conrad Murray Found Guilty in the Michael Jackson Trial
Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter on November 7. They said he showed no emotion or remorse when the verdict was read. The 6 week long trial made for an emotional time for the Jackson family as LaToya, Janet, Jermaine, Katherine, and Randy were present. The jury didn't have an easy time either. As quoted on ABCnews.com ,"The trial began with a shocking photo of Jackson's dead body in a hospital gurney and a photo of his naked body from his autopsy." During the 6 weeks, the jury also had over 300 exhibits to look through to make their decision. Sentencing will be held on November 29th.
Reality Check:
Ok....who DIDN'T see this coming? The guy looked guilty through the whole trial and he's been a suspect since day one. He's probably relieved it's over! What did he think he was going to gain from this? Did he want to somehow take over Neverland Ranch or did he honestly want to be remembered as "that doctor who overdosed M.J"? If he didn't like Michael, he should have never agreed to be his doctor. The boys waiting on him at the prison could wear shirts welcoming him that say "Beat It!"
That's a wrap for the evening as my battery on the laptop is dying and I am too comfortable on the couch to grab the charger.....
